The Gardener will maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, and hedges, ensuring they are well-kept and healthy. Responsibilities include watering, mowing, trimming, weeding, cleaning outdoor spaces, and handling garden waste. The role also involves operating gardening tools, applying fertilizers and pesticides, and assisting with minor landscaping tasks. Applicants should have experience in gardening, physical fitness for outdoor work, and basic plant care knowledge. Residing near Gigiri or willing to commute is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, and hedges, ensuring they are healthy and well-kept.
- Regularly water plants, mow the lawn, trim shrubs, weed flower beds, and remove dead or overgrown vegetation.
- Clean outdoor areas, including pathways, driveways, verandas, and other exterior spaces.
- Collect and dispose of garden waste and litter appropriately.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides as required, following safety procedures.
- Monitor the garden for signs of pests or disease and report any concerns promptly.
- Assist with planting new flowers, trees, or vegetables as needed.
- Carry out minor landscaping tasks and seasonal garden care (e.g., pruning, mulching).
- Report any maintenance issues in the garden or outdoor areas to the supervisor.
Key Requirement Skills And Qualification
- Proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
- Ability to use and maintain common gardening tools (e.g., lawnmower, shears, hosepipe, rake, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of plant care and maintenance
- Physically fit and able to perform outdoor manual work for extended periods
- Honest, hardworking, and punctual
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Residing near Gigiri or willing to commute
