Job Description :
The Sales Intern will be responsible for executing on-the-ground outreach activities aimed at increasing awareness, adoption, and uptake of JobsKona's services. The role requires an energetic, personable, and disciplined individual who can effectively represent the brand in diverse community settings, from CBDs to campuses to local business hubs.
This position is designed to build grassroots presence, generate leads, support conversion, and provide real-time feedback from the field.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote JobsKona services to individuals (jobseekers) and small businesses (employers)
- Execute structured field activation campaigns: demos, flyering, data collection, etc.
- Guide potential users through sign-up processes (especially for SMS subscriptions and CV services)
- Upsell premium packages (e.g. job listings, employer branding tools) to local business clients
- Maintain detailed records of daily interactions, conversions, and prospects
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to provide on-ground insights and recommendations
- Attend briefings, daily check-ins, and team performance reviews

Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in Sales, Marketing, Communication, or Business
- Prior experience in field marketing, direct sales, or customer-facing roles preferred
- Must own a smartphone and be tech-savvy (for data tracking, communication, digital tools)
- Familiarity with Nairobi neighborhoods and ability to commute independently
- Fluent in both English and Kiswahili
