Jawabu Best Limited (JBL) is seeking a dynamic and
mission-driven Social Media Manager to lead the strategy,
creation, and execution of our digital presence. You will be responsible for
building brand awareness, growing our online community, supporting campaigns,
and telling impactful stories through compelling content across all major
platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy
Development & Planning
- Develop
and execute a comprehensive, mission-aligned social media strategy that
supports organizational goals, including awareness, engagement,
fundraising, advocacy, and community mobilization.
- Define
and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each platform (engagement,
reach, follower growth, click-through rates, conversions).
- Conduct
monthly competitor and peer benchmarking, trend analysis, and audience
research to stay responsive to sector needs and opportunities.
- Integrate
SEO principles into strategy development to enhance visibility and
discoverability of content.
- Content
Creation & Management
- Manage
and maintain a content calendar across platforms: Instagram, LinkedIn, X
(Twitter), Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads.
- Create
and curate compelling, brand-aligned content in a variety of formats
(e.g., static posts, Reels, Stories, infographics, educational threads).
- Tailor
messaging and storytelling to platform-specific formats while upholding
the brand’s voice and mission.
- Collaborate
with internal teams, designers, photographers, and videographers to
produce high-quality, impactful visual content.
- Optimize
post captions, hashtags, and links for both engagement and SEO
performance.
- Schedule
and publish content using tools such as Later, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
- Community
Engagement
- Actively
monitor social channels, respond to comments and messages in a timely and
compassionate manner.
- Engage
authentically with supporters, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders to
nurture a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
- Manage
online conversations with integrity and empathy, ensuring alignment with
the organization’s values.
- Promote
and moderate user-generated content (UGC), testimonials, and community
collaborations to build trust and relatability.
- SEO
& Digital Visibility
- Apply
SEO best practices across social media content to boost search rankings
and visibility.
- Collaborate
with web and content teams to align social media with website updates,
blog strategy, and keyword planning.
- Leverage
metadata, tagging, and keyword tools to optimize content performance
across all channels.
- Monitor
and report on SEO-driven traffic and make data-informed adjustments to
content strategy.
- Analytics
& Reporting
- Track
and analyze social media performance using native analytics (Meta,
LinkedIn, TikTok) and third-party tools.
- Translate
data into actionable insights and iterate strategies based on learnings.
- Prepare
monthly social media reports highlighting growth, engagement, and impact
storytelling outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Campaign
& Initiative Support
- Support
major campaigns and programmatic initiatives with creative and strategic
social media plans.
- Work
cross-functionally to promote fundraising drives, awareness days,
community events, and advocacy campaigns.
- Coordinate
with communications and development teams to align messaging across all
outreach channels.
Requirements
- 3–5
years of hands-on experience managing social media for nonprofits,
purpose-driven brands, or agencies.
- Should
have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications or
any other related field.
- Deep
understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and emerging trends.
- Demonstrated
experience in content creation, copywriting, and visual storytelling.
- Experience
integrating SEO best practices into social content and strategy.
- Strong
skills in tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, and
scheduling/analytics platforms.
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive,
community-focused mindset with the ability to respond authentically and
manage sensitive conversations online.
- Familiarity
with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), email marketing, and integrated digital
campaign strategies.
- Passion
for social justice, sustainability, or community development work is a
strong plus.
