The Accountant will be responsible
for managing all financial transactions and records for a company in the
alcoholic beverage industry. This role requires strong accounting acumen,
attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced
environment. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with tax laws,
manage budgets, monitor financial data, and contribute to efficient business
operations. Familiarity with inventory management and industry-specific
financial challenges is highly desirable.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations including
accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
- Monitor and manage budgets and company expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and file timely
returns.
- Facilitate audits (internal and external) by providing
relevant documentation and support.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Manage debt collection and maintain good client
relations.
- Approve cash disbursements after reviewing departmental
needs.
- Conduct monthly inventory checks and manage
stock-related accounting.
Qualifications
and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related
field.
- CPA (K) qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role,
preferably within FMCG or beverage industry.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving
skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain
confidentiality.
