SCS International School is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of English and Literature to join its secondary school faculty. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional subject knowledge and a proven ability to teach Key Stages 3 to 5 within the British Curriculum framework. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educator to inspire and develop students’ analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills through English Language and Literature.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature for KS3 to KS5
• Prepare engaging lesson plans and learning materials aligned with the British Curriculum
• Assess and monitor student progress using both formative and summative evaluation techniques
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support academic development
• Encourage a culture of reading, creativity, and critical analysis among students
• Prepare students for IGCSE and A-Level examinations in English and Literature
• Participate in co-curricular activities and school events that promote student enrichment
• Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Uphold professional and ethical standards as per school policies
• Engage in professional development to stay updated with curriculum and pedagogical advancements

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
• A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
• Proven experience teaching the British Curriculum at KS3 to KS5 level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passionate about student learning and holistic development
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge learners
