Job Description :

Our client in the legal sector is seeking to recruit two qualified Advocates to join the Commercial and Conveyancing department. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing legal matters relating to property transactions and commercial agreements while ensuring client satisfaction through timely and professional service delivery.


Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and conveyancing documents ensuring proper execution and registration.
  • Provide legal opinions and advice on commercial, corporate, and real estate matters.
  • Prepare and manage legal documentation related to property sales, leases, and transfers.
  • Conduct legal due diligence for conveyancing and commercial transactions.
  • Liaise with clients, mortgage lenders, Land Registry, Survey of Kenya, National Land Commission, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Handle legal formalities relating to property leasing, title searches, and registrations.
  • Prepare security documents and assist with intellectual property and transactional matters.
  • Manage client files and ensure accurate and timely filing at relevant registries.
  • Enhance firm-client relationships through professional service and client engagement.
  • Offer support in legal research, drafting contracts, and providing client advisories.
  • Participate in business development by maintaining and expanding client relationships.
  • Perform any other legal duties assigned.

Job Specifications and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years Post-Admission experience in a busy law firm (commercial/conveyancing focus).
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree with at least Upper Second Class honors.
  • Holder of a valid Practicing Certificate in Kenya.
