VACANCY: SECURITY GUARDS TRAINER
Location: Coast - Mombasa

One of the leading private security providers in Kenya, is seeking a qualified and
experienced Security Guards Trainer to oversee the training and capacity-building of elite
security personnel stationed at high-profile five-star beach resorts and spas along the
Kenyan coast.
These facilities host local and international guests, government officials, and other VIPs,
requiring top-tier security services with an emphasis on professionalism, hospitality, and
situational awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Design, plan and deliver comprehensive training programs for security guards and
guardettes.
▪ Focus training on customer care and hospitality, especially in resort and tourism
settings.
▪ Train teams in identifying and responding to beachline-specific threats, including
unauthorized access, smuggling, terrorism, and piracy.
▪ Incorporate current and emerging security trends, technologies, and risk
management strategies into training.
▪ Lead simulations and drills in areas such as emergency response, surveillance,
conflict resolution, and incident reporting.
▪ Supervise and evaluate on-ground performance, offering continuous professional
development.
▪ Ensure compliance with local laws, client protocols, and international security
standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
❖ Diploma/degree in security matters or NYS graduates.
❖ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in training security personnel, preferably in the
hospitality or tourism sector.
❖ Proven background in coastal/beach security operations and managing VIP
environments.
❖ Certification in Security Management, Law Enforcement, Military Service, or a
related field.
❖ Knowledge of tourism security, counter-terrorism, and emergency preparedness is a
strong asset.
Essential Skills:
✓ Strong training, presentation, and leadership skills.
✓ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with multicultural
teams.
✓ Ability to instill professionalism, grooming, etiquette, and guest relations in trainees.
✓ Tech-savvy with familiarity in surveillance systems, mobile patrol tools, and
incident management software.
✓ Fluent in English and Kiswahili; additional languages an advantage.
