POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is looking for a Marketing Manager who is responsible for leading in marketing initiatives and support the growth of the brand across Kenya. This role involves a mix of hands on involvement to build brand awareness, strategic thinking, creative problem solving and support to sales growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand visibility aligned with business objectives
- Conduct continuous market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness.
2. Brand Management & Awareness
- Conceptualize and execute innovative marketing campaigns that capture attention and drive brand excitement.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels.
- Develop branding guidelines and oversee brand positioning in the market.
3. Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, email marketing, and social media.
- Analyze website traffic, social media engagement, and digital ad performance and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies and improve ROI.
- Develop content marketing strategies to enhance online presence.
4. Campaign Development & Execution
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate with designers, content creators, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed.
5. Customer Engagement & Lead Generation
- Develop customer relationship management (CRM) strategies to drive engagement.
- Implement lead generation strategies to attract potential customers.
- Oversee loyalty programs and retention strategies to boost customer lifetime value.
6. Market Research & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct surveys, focus groups, and data analysis to understand customer needs.
- Identify and track competitors’ marketing strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations for business growth.
7. Budgeting & ROI Analysis
- Develop and manage the marketing budget.
- Monitor spending and optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare reports on marketing ROI and present findings to senior management
8. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the marketing team to achieve business objectives.
- Work closely with sales, product development, and customer service teams.
- Manage external agencies, vendors, and partners as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in retail, FMCG or healthcare is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, branding, and market research
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, SEO and social media advertising
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
